The WanderList+: Where to eat in Moab (because it's better than you think)
a curated guide to the most delicious stops in Utah’s red rock country
Hi! I’m Katie, a cultural and social psychologist—but you can think of me as your BFF with a PhD. I’m also a travel curator, and I explore the magic that happens when you step out and into the world. Here, I unpack the psychology of travel—how it can heal, reveal, and transform us. If you’re craving more meaning, more beauty, or simply a shift in perspective, you’re in the right place. Thank you so much for being here.
If you’re heading to Moab for a sunrise hike through Arches or a winding day tour of canyon country, don’t overlook the meals between the magic.
One thing that’s true about my personal travel style is the meals make the trip for me.
One of the reasons I travel is undoubtedly for the food.
You’ll never catch me in a rental digging through dusty kitchen cabinets and making spaghetti from a jar.
I want to get out and experience new-to-me culture and cuisine, local spots that make me want to plan visit #2 just to have another bite.
And suprising to me, this desert town has a delightful food scene. It’s definitely worth savouring between your best red rock adventures.
Here are four places I loved during my recent trip to Moab, each worth a spot on your itinerary.

In this The WanderList+ edition, I’m sharing my favorite food finds in Moab—yes, Moab—including cinnamon rolls at sunrise, smoky pulled pork after a day in Arches, and where to go when your travel group can’t agree on dinner. This one’s for my fellow food-first travelers.
